What we do know at this time is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our emotions affect our\u00a0physiology<\/li>\n<li>The brain is an amazingly\u00a0adaptable and powerful organ<\/li>\n<li>Regular exercise can improve\u00a0memory and cognitive functioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/energylifesciences.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/neurons-human-brain-cells-under-a-microscope-pattern.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-12776 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/energylifesciences.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/neurons-human-brain-cells-under-a-microscope-pattern-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"neurons-human-brain-cells-under-a-microscope-pattern\" width=\"348\" height=\"261\" \/><\/a>Studies continue to illuminate the interrelationships between the mind and body, and suggest that we only understand a small fraction of what we&#8217;re capable of (see what Drs. Deepak Chopra, Dan Siegel and others say on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/ow.ly\/lxWxC\">Discovery<\/a>).\u00a0What has become\u00a0clear is that what we think, feel and believe\u00a0plays a role in how our DNA expresses itself.<\/p>\n<p>So what can we do with what we do know?\u00a0We can\u00a0be\u00a0self-empowered in our own healing process. We can think loving thoughts, be compassionate in our relationships with others, exercise and eat healthfully. We can recapitulate, meditate and form health partnerships with caring and knowledgeable health-care providers.<\/p>\n<p>The relationship between\u00a0psychology and the immune system, between mind and body, is at the core of my medical practice, and helps inform my\u00a0Being Energy classes.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How powerfully do our thoughts influence our health and wellbeing?
